Biographical or Historical Information
The Florida Library Association began in 1901 as an offshoot of the State Education Association. The first pre-arranged meeting took place in December 1906. This joint effort ended in 1910; after a hiatus, efforts resumed in 1920 and that is the official date from which these archives are clearly established.
