Biographical or Historical Information
Altrusa International of Tampa Bay was formed as a local affiliate of the International Organization by a group of businesses and professional women during a charter banquet at the Floridan Hotel on December 12, 1953. The organization established the Wilma B. Hogan Foundation in 1999 to provide funds for services, programs, and projects that fulfill the needs of the Tampa Bay community. Today, Altrusa Tampa is dedicated to providing community service, developing leadership, and encouraging fellowship.
