Autograph Collection
The Autograph Collection is a series of materials acquired and curated by the University of South Florida library, including correspondence, photographs, and assorted signatures.The second series in this collection consists of 49 personal autograph books from the United States, with two books written in the German language.
Custance-Douglas correspondence
Lord Alfred Bruce Douglas (1870-1945) eloped with Olive Custance (1874-1944), the daughter of Colonel Frederic Hambleton Custance (1844-1925), in 1902. They had their first and only child, Raymond, in the same year. Colonel Custance did not approve of their relationship, perhaps because of Lord Alfred's association with Oscar Wilde (1854-1900).
