Hillsborough County (Fla.) -- History

Publications, photographs, postcards, cigar labels, maps, realia, manuscripts, diaries, printed ephemera, artifacts, and other materials documenting the history of Tampa, Florida and its vicinity, with particular emphasis on the area’s Cuban, Spanish, and Italian immigrant communities of Ybor City and West Tampa.

The collection consists of syndicated newspaper clippings, ephemera, correspondence, brochures, photographs, and articles written about the various places and people of Florida.

A collection of court documents from 1833 - 1923 for Hillsborough County, Florida.

This collection is composed of press/news clippings that detail the history of the Hillsborough County School District.

The collection consists of title abstracts relating to the Rohrer’s property in Tampa.  Also includes Rohrer’s journal (ca. 1916 - ca.1959) which contains an account of the 1921 Tampa hurricane and an account of the flood resulting from the breaking of the Hillsborough River dam in 1933.
